Good Mates Only

By joining Good Mates Only, using our website or membership platform, or attending any Good Mates Only event, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Code of Conduct and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms apply to your membership, your use of our website and membership platform, and your participation in any Good Mates Only events, activities or meet ups.

Membership

  • Good Mates Only is a paid monthly membership club.
  • Membership is billed monthly via Stripe at the rate displayed at the time you sign up.
  • Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled by you.
  • Founding members lock in the founding rate for as long as their membership remains active.
  • You are responsible for keeping your payment details up to date to avoid interruptions to your membership.
  • Memberships are non refundable, including for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, moving location, lack of attendance or any other personal circumstance.
  • You can cancel your membership at any time. Once cancelled, no further monthly membership payments will be taken.
  • If you cancel your membership, your access continues until the end of your current paid billing period.

Eligibility

  • Members must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have an active paid membership to attend members-only events, unless an event is clearly stated to be open to non-members.

Events

  • Events are members-only unless otherwise stated.
  • Many events are free to attend as part of your membership.
  • Food, drinks, venue purchases, transport, accommodation and third-party ticketed activities are paid by you directly unless clearly stated otherwise.
  • Capacity may be limited and places are generally first-in, first-served.
  • Events may take place at third-party venues, public spaces, private venues, restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, parks, fitness spaces, outdoor areas or other locations.
  • Good Mates Only does not operate or control third-party venues, public spaces or the broader environment in which events take place.

RSVPs and No-Shows

  • Many events have limited capacity and rely on accurate RSVP numbers.
  • If you RSVP to an event, you are expected to attend unless you cancel within the required time frame.
  • Unless otherwise stated, RSVPs typically close 24 hours before each event.
  • Please cancel before the cutoff if you cannot attend, so another member can take your spot.
  • You must update or cancel your own RSVP through the website or membership platform. Good Mates Only staff, hosts and event facilitators cannot update RSVPs on your behalf.
  • A $10 no-show fee may apply if you RSVP and do not show up, or if you cancel after the RSVP cutoff.
  • This fee may be automatically charged to the payment method attached to your membership.
  • By holding a membership, you consent to any applicable no-show charges.

Conduct

  • Good Mates Only events are intended to be welcoming, respectful and inclusive social spaces.
  • You must treat all members, hosts, staff, venues, venue staff, activity providers and members of the public with respect.
  • Harassment, discrimination, unsafe behaviour, aggressive conduct, intimidation, bullying, sexual harassment, threatening behaviour or behaviour that makes others feel unsafe may result in removal from an event, suspension of your membership or cancellation of your membership.
  • You must follow all reasonable instructions from Good Mates Only hosts, staff, event facilitators, partner venues and activity providers.
  • Good Mates Only may remove any person from an event or cancel a membership where behaviour is deemed inappropriate, unsafe or inconsistent with the community standards of Good Mates Only.

Assumption of Risk and Liability

  • You attend Good Mates Only events and participate in Good Mates Only activities voluntarily and at your own risk.
  • Events may include, but are not limited to, dinners, drinks, social meetups, outdoor activities, indoor activities, sporting events, fitness sessions, walking tours, hikes, games nights, entertainment events, venue-based events and other activities organised under the Good Mates Only brand.
  • You understand that social venues, public spaces, physical activity, alcohol, weather, traffic, busy areas, outdoor terrain, venue environments and group activities involve inherent risks.
  • These risks may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls, collisions, equipment failure, weather exposure, wildlife, dehydration, illness, injury, property loss, property damage or death.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Good Mates Only, ABN 82 664 202 500, its owners, directors, staff, contractors, volunteers, hosts, event facilitators, partner venues and activity providers are not liable for personal injury, property damage, illness, loss, harm or death arising from or connected to your participation in any event.
  • Good Mates Only is not responsible for the actions, behaviour or interactions of other attendees, members, hosts, venue staff, activity providers or members of the public.
  • You agree that you are medically and physically able to participate in any event you choose to attend. If you are unsure, you should seek medical advice before attending.
  • If you consume alcohol at or around an event, you accept full responsibility for your safety, decisions and behaviour.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and reimburse Good Mates Only, ABN 82 664 202 500, for any claims, damages, legal fees, costs or losses arising from:

  • your breach of these Terms;
  • your conduct at an event;
  • damage you cause to a venue or property;
  • injury you cause to another person; or
  • claims brought by other members, venues, third parties, insurers, authorities, activity providers or members of the public.

Photography, Filming and Social Media

  • Good Mates Only events may involve photography or filming.
  • By attending an event, you consent to appearing in photos or videos that may be used for marketing, social media, promotional materials, website content, advertising or other Good Mates Only communications.
  • If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, you must inform a host or Good Mates Only representative at the start of the event and avoid camera zones where practical.
  • We will take reasonable steps to respect requests not to be photographed or filmed, but we cannot guarantee that you will not appear in the background of group, venue or event content.

Event Changes, Cancellations and Weather

  • Good Mates Only may modify, postpone or cancel events at any time for safety, weather, operational, venue, attendance or other practical reasons.
  • Refunds are not offered for events or membership dues due to scheduling changes, event changes, structural changes or cancelled events.
  • Paid ticketed events, third-party activities, venue hire events or special events may have their own refund and cancellation terms.
  • Where an event involves a third-party provider, venue or ticketing platform, their own terms may also apply.

Website, Payments and Data

  • All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
  • You consent to Good Mates Only storing necessary account, payment, membership, event and communication information.
  • You must not share your login details or allow non-members to attend members-only events using your membership.
  • You must not misuse the website, membership platform, RSVP system, payment system or any other Good Mates Only platform.

Sharing of Information

  • Good Mates Only may collect, use, store and disclose your personal information where reasonably necessary to operate the service.
  • This may include sharing relevant information with our staff, contractors, volunteers, event hosts, trusted third-party service providers, payment processors, email platforms, ticketing systems, website providers, venues and activity providers.
  • Information may be used for purposes including membership management, event administration, communications, customer support, safety, platform operations, payment processing and community management.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not intentionally disclose member details to other members or unrelated third parties outside of these operational purposes.

Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Good Mates Only, ABN 82 664 202 500, is not liable for injury, loss, harm, death, damage, delay, cancellation, disappointment, cost or expense arising from or connected to your membership, event attendance or participation in any activity.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, loss or damage caused by third-party venues, activity providers, other attendees, members of the public, transport delays, weather, illness, injury, theft, property damage or personal circumstances.
  • While we take reasonable steps to protect personal information, you acknowledge that no system or process is completely error-free.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Good Mates Only is not liable for any loss or damage arising from inadvertent or accidental disclosure of information where reasonable safeguards were in place.

Termination

  • Good Mates Only may suspend or cancel your membership immediately if you breach these Terms, breach the Code of Conduct, behave in a way that endangers others, misuse the membership system, repeatedly no-show events, act dishonestly or behave in a way that is inconsistent with the community standards of Good Mates Only.
  • Termination does not result in refunds.
  • If your membership is cancelled or suspended, you may lose access to events, member spaces, communications and platform features immediately.

Cancellation

  • You can cancel your membership anytime by contacting the team via https://socialclubsupport.group/.
  • There are no lock-in contracts, notice periods or reactivation fees.
  • Cancelling your membership stops future monthly membership payments but does not refund payments already made.

Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time.
  • Material changes will be communicated to members by email or through the membership platform.
  • Continuing to use your membership, log in, renew, RSVP or attend events after changes are made means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
  • Any disputes will be handled by Australian courts.

Acceptance

By signing up, logging in, renewing your membership, maintaining an active membership, RSVPing to an event or attending any Good Mates Only event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Service.
